General Discussion / Next stage of streaming
« on: November 18, 2018, 11:26:19 PM »
Have sources in the works for outside of PAC-12 Networks (all 93). Just a matter of working out a few kinks during setup over the next couple of days. Been busy by choice as an Uber and Lyft driver the past couple of months. Thank you to those choosing to continue to hang with my service and continue the financial support.

General Discussion / Lyft Driver
« on: September 22, 2018, 03:58:27 AM »
I'm a Lyft driver in the Southern Oregon Region (Eugene area) as of 9/14. So if I can't respond, it's because I'm giving rides.

As for today, 9/22, after an overnight, I will be making one more run from 4:30a to ~8a for ESPN's College Game Day on the campus of the University of Oregon Ducks, then call it a day to try and get some sleep.

Thanks for you patience and understanding.

General Discussion / Streaming Sources Working
« on: September 19, 2018, 12:21:23 PM »
As of last night, I am now with a source for all other feeds outside of PAC-12 that has a 99.99|% uptime.  8)

As for IPTV trial requests, if you request by 12a HI 10/01, then I will provide 2 weeks free with 5 connections to try it out. After that, 1 connection, and my discretion for a trial request.

Thank you for hanging through all the trials and tribulations, especially to those who've followed me 3-6 seasons.

Go PAC-12.

General Discussion / Possible full or partial shutdown
« on: August 31, 2018, 03:26:36 PM »
Sigh. At about 2-1/2 months shy of 15 years, I am now looking for employment. Enough troubles over the years, with one too many this past week that broke the dam. :/

So if you find that all or part of Global Gizmo Watch Party Live goes dead in the next couple of months, that's because I had to choose my own basic needs and utilities over the "extras" to bring this service to you all.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. Go Ducks, Go PAC-12. :D

General Discussion / New Streaming Server, IPTV accounts
« on: August 19, 2018, 11:43:49 PM »
Come Wednesday, will be starting a new streaming server on a faster setup, low cost.

I can then give IPTV access to those that choose to invest.

-iOS / Android -> GSE IPTV recommended
-Android -> can have a custom apk available

As for pricing, I'm looking at:
--$  7.50/mo for PAC-12 (all 93) and General (GGWP Live IPTV)
--$ 12.50/mo adding the Sports extras to NFL, NBA, NHL, etc. (GGWP Live IPTV Full)

Through free membership, the subscriptions are available at the bottom of the page. By default, your ID will match the registration on this site, and unless otherwise requested via private messaging, your PW will be randomly generated.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

General Discussion / Membership Purge
« on: April 05, 2018, 10:59:20 PM »
FAIR WARNING: Come Friday night 4/6 to Saturday morning 4/7, I will begin a purge of the membership database.
  • To start, I will be purging those that have registered but have never been active here on this site.
  • Then I will be purging those that have not been active for 180+ days that have never posted a topic nor made a reply.

General Discussion / Ace Closing Down, "No Fool"
« on: March 28, 2018, 09:44:17 PM »
This is unfortunate, but was coming. Unfortunately much sooner than they even anticipated. :'(

I will be putting in a support ticket like hundreds or thousands of others resellers, and individuals that had an account when they closed the door to "new individual" accounts a few months ago, to find out as for any possible financial credit, especially as I had extended a few in the past 2 weeks and added 1 just Monday.

They may have had some streaming issues, but when needed, their customer support was pretty darn good.

So for those of you that do, feel free at your choosing, or let me know, and I will cancel any auto subscription to the service, and if you'd like to have the money back yourself.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

Received from Ace Hosting

When: 01:59:13 UTC (3/29) / 18:59:13 PDT (3/28)

If you no longer have an active Ace subscription or reseller account, please ignore this email.
We recently announced that Ace was no longer accepting renewals or offering new reseller credits but planned to support existing subscription.  Due to mounting legal pressure in the UK we have been forced to change our plans and we are now announcing that Ace will close down at the end of March.
This means that from April 1st onwards the Ace service will no longer work.
Please do not request recommendations for an alternative service, you can google "best IPTV service" for options.  Please do not ask if we are rebranding/setting up a new service, the answer is no.
The Ace team wishes you all the best with your next IPTV service.
Best Regards,
The Ace Team.

General Discussion / Stream Reconfiguration
« on: March 10, 2018, 11:49:32 PM »
With the troubles that were taking place, I was forced to upgrade the router sooner than anticipated for the streaming server, but now that it's been in place since about 6p PT, it appears to be making a difference.

During that process, I realized I needed to do a refresh on the streams as shared for the TV Addons Pass feeds, so they are going back up in chunks. First up are the ESPN family and FS1 as the PAC12 Tournament took place at 7p PT.

Along with different channel numbers, there are now 5 separate public playlists to try and keep a decent balance across the server for this site and PPU: High, Medium, Low, and WGYM

Upon request if already a supporter, or you choose to become one, I can set up a custom list based on our sources. I can also setup a short term trial (custom list per my discretion); basic membership is requested here first as your ID will be associated, as it would be if you chose to subscribe to the ACE TV package which offers numerous other channels.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this "March Madness".

General Discussion / SPAM Bots On the Prowl
« on: March 07, 2018, 06:18:22 PM »
SPAM Bots are on the prowl again, :( especially as I have one domain pointing this way, and the base not installed (both of WordPress), as they worked as honey pots. :D I am deleting them as soon as I can.

I've noticed that after some have forced their way in, the site slows way down until I remove them because of what they try to do.

There may be a day when I can't get to it, and hopefully during that same time, more of you "good folk" have signed up, so may need a friendly reminder by that point (say 11p - 7a PT) if I haven't been on, either by Private Message, or by reply here with the user in question.

I will typically find them with an ICQ an Web site and a number of them have posted a decent profile description, which the majority of us just don't do these days. So that's an easier way to find them.

I am also removing those that sign up with an obvious temp mail service as it violates one of my basic rules. For now, the email portion isn't working, so notifications that way aren't going through until I get that straightened out from the move end of January. So hence the "immediate" sign up as you wouldn't get the email to verify with.

Thankfully, with this age old forum system, there is a basic way to ban those from various known domains to be of the SPAM Bot variety, and by IP address. Those that come in with a Yahoo.com email address, I just can't "blanket" ban, as it would leave a number of "good folk" from making their way in.

Thus not much that can be done, other than keep an eye out, and remove them as soon as possible without completely abolishing the website after all the work going on 5 1-2 years and counting. And that would mean "they win", :( and we don't want that. :D

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

General Discussion / Web and Streaming Servers
« on: January 18, 2018, 11:47:06 AM »
Now that gigabit service has been implemented locally, I am in the process of transitioning the web and streaming servers to:

  • Save costs
  • Have more control
  • Run more consistent feeds
  • A number of other improvements I'm not thinking of right now

Note: Only the TV Addons Passes will be most effected by the streaming server transition.

So this now means you will likely notice a connection error here and there as it propagates from the Digital Ocean servers to the local setup over the next few days.

I'm in hopes that this process will be done by Sunday, as I have already begun part of the process last night, 1/17.

Thank you for your support over the past few months to years (for those that have followed me from my beginnings), along with your patience and understanding during this process.

General Discussion / Addon Passes
« on: October 25, 2017, 06:21:53 PM »
Please be aware: For this next and final "Quality of Service" phase, PAC-12 Network and BYUtv will be the only feeds available for everyone, which includes guests. Beginning on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, these "TV Addon Passes" will go into effect.

Beginning on December 1, 2017, PAC-12 Network became part of the free membership.

With a basic goal of breaking even on providing this service to you all:

Options 1 and 2 are increasing by end of May 2018.

1. TV Addons at $5.00 $10.00 / mo -- Various TV Networks $10.00/mo for access on this site

2. TV Addons plus IPTV access with your own account NFL at $8.00 $20.00/ mo -- Various TV Network + NFL Network, Redzone and Sunday Ticket

3. US TV Now at $5.00 / mo -- login access via their website, Kodi.tv or other compatible app
4. Dish Network at $10.00 / mo - Dish -- login access for enhanced access on various sites

5. PPV events at $Variable -- as-need / requested: determined per event

6. ACE TV at $10.00 / mo -- IPTV service with option to associate it to a MAG, Dreamlink, or other compatible hardware box versus traditional computer / tablet / smartphone use. Began 12/3/17. Dissolved

PAC-12 Regionals will always be open to all members; based on the initial focus of the streaming site back in September 2012.

The remaining networks will be closed, unless you choose to subscribe to one of the TV Addons Passes. As noted above.

Pay Per View events upon enough request, may be provided if we get the request in a decent time (more than 48 hours from start), but under a different pass at a rate determined from the overall cost of that event for us to make the investment.

You will find the subscriptions to the passes under your Member Profile at "Paid Subscriptions". Anyone who has chosen to dontate prior to that start, will be compensated appropriately for a "TV Addons Pass" that is set up. Just let me know as a reply below, or via private message, if you want NFL Sunday Ticket and Redzone access, or not.

As time rolls on, we will set up PPV events in a similar fashion as the needs/requests arise.

For Passes 1 - 3, you have the option to make it recurring (checked), or non-recurring (uncheck the box) before continuing to PayPal.

There will always be information on the stream pages that will be open to everyone (includes guests), and just members only (members, moderators and administrators).

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
